Doug Kahn, Assistant Director of Restaurants
Doug Kahn joined Sixteen as Assistant Director of Restaurants in February 2014, bringing nearly 10 years of diverse experience in the restaurant industry. Prior to joining the two-starred Michelin restaurant at Trump Hotel Chicago, Doug held a range of front-of-house positions with prestigious restaurants in Philadelphia and New York, including Will BYOB and Eleven Madison Park.
A Pennsylvania native, Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University. Doug has long entertained a passion for food, service and wine, and in March 2013 completed the certified sommelier exam. Doug is currently studying to take the advanced exam in 2017.
Doug oversees the evening service team at Sixteen and leverages his position and experience to encourage associates to learn and grow into leaders of the hospitality industry. Doug values positivity and lives by the quote, “Choose being kind over being right and you’ll be right every time."
